Supiori Island on the north west of Biak is separated from Biak by a narrow channel the Teluk Senendidori. The island is designated as the Supiori Island Reserve containing mangroves and low mountain rainforest with endemic birds and mammals. Supiori has a
small mountain ridge with the highest peak at 1034m, white sandy beaches and unexplored coral reefs. The area provides great opportunity for bird watching and wildlife observation.
Supiori island as one o of the newest regency in Papua since early year 2004, consist of North Supiori distric ( Wafor, Sauyas, Sorendiweri, Waryesi villages ),South Supiori distric (Wombonda, Yaweman, Marsam, Duber villages ) East Supiori distric with additional two villages that is Doubo, Syundori from Warsa/North Biak distric.To reach Supiori can do by sea or by land transportation access in the west road in two hours drive and via north road in four hours drive from Biak down town.
